Teak is one of the hardest, strongest and most durable of all timbers and because of this, it is highly resistant to rotting. Teak is virtually resistant to harsh elements like sun, rain, frost, and snow, making it a perfect material for outdoor furniture and is ideal for decks, patios and gardens. Teak trees grow up to 150 feet and are normally milled when the teak tree is at least 40 years old. Trees milled before this age are less durable and of lower quality. All teak furniture on display at Outdoor Collections is shown in its natural state. Outdoor Collections' Teak furniture will take on a beautiful patina and will turn gray if untreated. Teak can also be maintained with a marine sealer, in order to retain the natural honey color.
